Located in Chania town in a beautiful building shaped like a cross there is a large covered market selling everything from fresh seafood and meats to local olive oil and spices. The energetic and charismatic atmosphere in the food market is contagious and at time like a stage show. There are also a couple of restaurants and stalls where you can eat great tasting dishes made from the freshest local produce.

For those of you that are looking for shopping under the one roof go to Talos Plaza in Heraklion. This is the largest shopping centre in all of Crete. One of the attractions in Crete is the Lychnostatis open-air museum in Hernosnissos.
